Why We Built This FAQ

When you start using a new tool on the internet, it is completely normal to have questions. You might wonder, "Is this going to secretly charge my credit card?" or "Will my teacher know I used this?"

We believe in being 100% honest with our users. We don't hide our answers in small text at the bottom of the page. We put them right here, in plain English, so even a 5-year-old could understand them.

Below, we have organized our most common questions into categories. Take your time, read through them, and if you still have a question at the end, you can always email us! For a longer tour of the product itself, start with what homework helper AI is or how Gionth works.

Category 1: Pricing and Money

Is Gionth free?

Yes. Asking a question on Gionth is free. There is no subscription required to type or upload a problem and get help. The site may show unobtrusive ads to keep the homework helper available.

Do I need an account?

No. You can type a question or upload a photo and get help without creating an account.

How do you pay for the servers if it is free?

Running AI servers is very expensive! We pay for the website by showing a few small advertisements on the screen. We try to keep the ads as unobtrusive as possible so they don't interrupt your learning.

Is there a daily limit? Do I run out of credits?

You can ask many questions without a paid upgrade. Fair-use rate limits may apply if one IP sends a burst of requests in a short window. Normal study sessions are what the product is built for.

Category 2: How the AI Works

What exactly is Gionth?

Gionth is an AI homework helper you can open in a browser for free, without an account, for step-by-step help across many subjects. Gionth explains answers with step-by-step reasoning so you can learn the method, not only the final line.

How does the AI know the answers?

Gionth uses a language model to generate an explanation from patterns learned during training and the context in your question. It does not consult every textbook and it can produce incorrect facts or reasoning, so check important steps and sources.

Is the AI always right?

No. AI can make mistakes, especially with unclear images or advanced problems. Gionth is designed to explain common high-school and college questions, but you should always check equations, citations, and assignment requirements.

Category 3: Subjects and Features

What subjects does Gionth cover?

Gionth covers many school subjects, including math, science, English, history, and computer science. Strength still varies by topic and how clear the question is.

Is Gionth available 24/7?

Yes. Gionth is available 24/7 in your browser. There is no appointment or office-hours wait.

Can Gionth solve math word problems?

Gionth can help translate many word problems into variables and equations, but it can misread constraints or choose the wrong model. Compare its variable definitions with the original story and substitute the result back into every condition.

How do I take a picture of my homework?

On the main page, look inside the search box. You will see a small camera icon. Click it, and your computer or phone will let you choose a photo. The AI will look at the photo, read the text on it, and solve the problem!

What are the "Mini-Tools" like the Word Counter?

Besides our main AI solver, we built small, fast tools that don't even use AI. We have a GPA calculator to figure out your grades, a word counter for essays, and a citation generator. They are all free to use from the main menu.

Category 4: Ethics and Cheating

Is using Gionth considered cheating?

It depends on your teacher or school policy and how you use the tool. Explanations and checks may be allowed study support; submitting AI output as your own work may violate the rules. Check the assignment policy and disclose AI use when required. We wrote a full guide on whether using AI for homework is cheating.

Can teachers tell if I used AI to write an essay?

There is no reliable way to determine AI authorship from writing alone, and automated detectors can be wrong. Teachers may still notice changes in voice, unsupported citations, or work you cannot explain. Do not submit AI-generated writing as your own.

Category 5: Privacy and Tech

Do you save my questions?

Questions are private by default. A guest can reopen a private answer during the current browser session; a free account keeps it across sessions. You can explicitly choose “Publish anonymously” to submit the question and answer for public-library consideration; automated quality and privacy checks decide whether it becomes discoverable. Avoid including names, email addresses, student IDs, faces, or other personal information in either mode.

How do you measure product usage?

Gionth uses a first-party visitor identifier and limited event names such as question submitted, answer viewed, and practice started. Product events do not contain question text, OCR text, email, raw IP, or the full browser user-agent string. Separate visit and security logs may contain IP and browser information for aggregate country/device reporting and abuse prevention.

Can I use Gionth on my iPhone or Android?

Gionth is designed for modern mobile browsers on iPhone and Android, with no app required. If photo capture or upload does not work on a device, update Safari or Chrome and type the question instead.

What happens if the website crashes?

Sometimes during finals week, lots of students use the site at the exact same time. It is like a traffic jam on the highway. If it freezes, just refresh the page and try again! Our servers are very fast, so they usually catch up quickly.
